toast? db wipe? hack? forgot to pay the rent and were tossed out on ear?
A forum i used to admin for an acquaintance was hacked bad, then the host said it was "gone" after a few days of us repairing it, luckally we pooled cash for a vbb and i managed, after many days and clumps of hair, to import all the backups to the new format.
<,< admittedly there were archival threads that had wrong user/post/content/thread info.... but like i was going to fix a bunch of things nobody read all alone.
oddly tho a year later a freind pings me the old addy, and there the forum was. dead as a doornail but there.
10 active users on when i checked.

all noobs cybering in my chatroom....
I think i scarred them mentally when i decided to step in....still had full admin rights after all, like your ip's all displayed for me.
